National Conference on Rewarding and Recognizing Academics - April 14th, 2023

On April 14th, 2023, we organized a meeting at VU Amsterdam with the cluster of Economics and Business of all the Dutch universities to discuss developments in the "Reward and Recognition" program. I was responsible for organizing the event, which featured an inspiring keynote from Patrick van Kenhove about how Ghent University changed its career tracks and several parallel sessions about various topics related to the program. For example, we discussed research assessment, career paths in academia, and moving from policies to implementation. It was a great event, and I enjoyed the many discussions we had about this very important topic. Let's hope it was a catalyst for further changes!
